your printer sleeps .. hey wake up doesn't work!!!

                                                               HERE IS THE TIP



1.As per Energy Star norms, all electronic products should go into sleep mode when idle for specified period to save power.

2.We usually observe that printer does not wake up after entering into sleep mode specially when connected over network due to the fact that it is not able to communicate with the router or PC. Make sure you check and update the printer with latest firmware and perform hard reset.

3.Do not get confused between Sleep mode and Auto Power OFF features. Auto Power OFF > Printer turns OFF completely after the specified period and customer has to use the power button to turn the printer back ON, unlike Sleep mode where the printer wakes up when print job.

4.Auto Power OFF can be set to Never (Disabled) but we cannot disable Sleep mode (max setting is 15 mins).

5.Certain features (Scanning, Faxing and Front Panel controls and Wireless features) of the printer can be disabled, if these options are disabled via EWS; printer will not wake up from sleep more or respond to the specific job related to the disabled features.

6.Set the manual IP on the printer to stop printer from continuous ping when it goes in sleep mode.
